Happy Holidays!
I hope everyone is doing well. NYC is AMAZING this time of year. It feels so festive and everything is decorated with lights. There have also been a lot more opportunities to help the community then I found in Provo. It's been a great holiday season.
Much love,
Kambria

Pamela
I am going to write some memories of my sister Pamela. She was about three years younger than me. As children we played dolls, paper dolls, school, and liked to color and cut and paste with construction paper. I hung out with her more than with my other siblings because we liked to do girly things, A lot of times Pamela would be by herself playing quietly.
I remember one week in the summer we stayed at our grandparents home in Massachusettes. My Mom’s parents. We went to the mall alone together, which was something we didn’t get to do a lot of. ( My grandparents lived behind it.) We had lots of fun walking around. Grandma took us to downtown
Pam and I would make wind chimes out of ribbons which we braided into birds and fish. Pam was an excellent seamstress. She loved doing crafts, and would glue three dimensional pictures together and frame them. We loved to make belts out of jute string. Pam was much better than I at making things. She liked to make jewelry with beads and things found in nature.
Pam kept a book of sayings with her to read when she had a line to wait in. When she found a saying she liked, she would write it down. She also wrote poetry. I copied her book into one of my own, and added my own saying to it. Grandma has the original. Pam was a pretty good artist, also. Grandma has her pictures hanging up.
Pam loved make-up and doing hair. She had beautiful hands, and she would polish her nails.
In High School, she started violin lessons, but Mom said she was very sensitive about anyone hearing her make mistakes, and so she was too embarrassed to practice, so …she quit.
Pam was very busy with friends. I was at college, and when I came home I worked, so we didn’t have much time together. We had a talk once before I left for school, where we became closer…talking about how grateful we were to be in the family we were in. Another time, I remember talking, and she expressed how she loved life, but never wanted to grow old and sick.
She loved youth.
She worked at JB Big Boy restaurant during her senior year in high school, and when it got slow, she told me she got too silly from boredom and being tired, and would sing camp songs to the regulars who would come in.
We had one year at BYU together. We met for ice- cream to talk a few times. We took a tennis class together. She got a better grade than I did! The teacher used to tease us.
It meant a lot to me that she went to my graduation exercises and we took a picture together.
Pam had a fun social life a t BYU. She was very creative, and had a strong testimony of the gospel. I went to her ward party once to be with her. I only remember people thinking I was the younger sister, because she was taller. She also was more stylish and classier than me. When I taught in
I love Pam. I will be very happy when I see her again. She was my very best friend growing up. We just lived life. I spent most of my time with her when we went to the beach, or ran under the sprinklers. When we got older, school separated us. She had LOTS of friends, and boys who had crushes on her. I pray for her all the time. I’m greatful the priesthood binds our family through the generations, eternally.
